Abstract: The title compound, [Sn(C₄H₉)₃(C₂₁H₁₆N₃O₃)]_n, is a one-dimensional polymer in which the two carboxylate O atoms of a single benzoate ligand bridge adjacent SnBu₃ groups. The Sn atom has a slightly distorted trans-Bu₃SnO₂ trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry.
