Bis(2,2'-bipyridine-²N,N')chlorocopper(II) 3-carboxybenzenesulfonate trihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, [CuCl(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂](C₇H₅O₅S)·3H₂O, the Cu^II ion is coordinated by two 2,2-bipyridine and one chloro ligand in a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. A hydrogen-bonding network consolidates the crystal structure.
