1-Benzenesulfonyl-2,3-dimethyl-1H-indole

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₅NO₂S, the indole group is planar and approximately perpendicular to the sulfonyl-bound phenyl ring; the dihedral angle between the planes is 86.80 (6)°. The molecules form centrosymmetric dimers via C-HO hydrogen bonds.
