Abstract: In the title compound, [Cd(CH5N3S)2(H2O)2](C4H3O4)2·2H2O, the CdII ion lies on a centre of symmetry and is coordinated by two pairs of N and S atoms from two symmetry-related thiosemicarbazide ligands and two O atoms from two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, the components are effectively linked together by electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds of the O-H
O, N-H
O and N-H
S types into a three-dimensional network.
