1,5-Diphenyl-3-(2-pyridyl)pentane-1,5-dione

Abstract: The title compund, C₂₂H₁₉NO₂, was synthesized by the reaction of pyridine-2-carbaldehyde with acetophenone and NaOH. The bond lengths and angles show normal values. The crystal packing exhibits no significantly short intermolecular contacts.
