Abstract: The title compound, C16H10N4O2, is an organic red pigment utilized for hydrogen gas sensors. The centrosymmetric diketopyrrolopyrrole is nearly planar and is linked to four neighbouring molecules via N-H
N hydrogen bonds to form a two-dimensional network in the (201) plane.
