Abstract: The title molecule, C13H9Cl2N3O, adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angles between the two rings are 17.2 (3) and 145.4 (3)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-H
O hydrogen bonds which link the molecules into a chain structure.
