4-(4-Fluorophenyl)-3-methyl-6-oxo-1-phenyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-5-carbonitrile

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₀H₁₅FN₄O, was synthesized by the reaction of 5-amino-3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazole with ethyl 2-cyano-3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-acylate in glycol under microwave irradiation. The tetrahydropyridine ring adopts a distorted envelope conformation. The pyrazole ring forms a dihedral angle of 39.2 (3)° with the attached phenyl ring.
