Aqua(3-carboxylatophenoxyacetato-O)bis(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')manganese(II) tetrahydrate

Abstract: The dicarboxylate ligand in the title compound, [Mn(C₉H₆O₅)(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂(H₂O)]·4H₂O, coordinates in a monodentate manner to the Mn^II atom through the carboxylate group on the benzene ring. The two O atoms in the octahedral configuration around the Mn^II atom are cis to each other. Extensive hydrogen bonding leads to a three-dimensional network.
