Abstract: In the mononuclear title compound, [Co(C₇H₄ClO₂)₂(H₂O)₂], the Co^II atom is six-coordinated by four O atoms from two 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde ligands and two O atoms from two coordinated water molecules in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry.
