Abstract: The structure of the oxalate-bridged title complex, [Tm2(C2O4)3(H2O)4]·2H2O, consists of layers built from Tm2(C2O4)3 units. The coordination polyhedron of Tm can be described as a distorted dicapped trigonal prism. Each oxalate is located on an inversion centre.
