Abstract: The title compound, C₈H₁₂N₂O₄, was prepared from 2-(4-hydroxy-2-oxopyrrolidin-1-yl)acetamide and acetic anhydride. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through N-HO hydrogen bonds to form an extended network, which contributes to the stability of the structure in the solid state.
