Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₅ClN₄OS, was prepared by the reaction of 4-amino-3-(2-ethoxyphenyl)-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole and 2-bromo-4'-chloroacetophenone. The dihedral angle between the triazole ring and the benzene ring bearing the ethoxy substituent is 17.7 (1)°.
