Abstract: The title compound, C₃₀H₅₀O₂, was isolated from the wood-rotting fungus Inonotus obliquus. It is a lanostane-type triterpene. There are one cyclohexane ring, two cyclohexene rings and one cyclopentane ring in the molecule.
