Abstract: The title complex, [Cu(C12H18N2O8)(H2O)]·2H2O, crystallizes with the tetradentate ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (edta) diester derivative and one water molecule forming a pyramidal environment. The vacant site of the octahedral complex is remotely associated with an O atom of one of the carbonyl atoms of the edta derivative.
