Tricaesium undecalanthanum dodecaselenate(IV) dodecachloride

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, Cs₃La₁₁(SeO₃)₁₂Cl₁₂, consists of complex slabs of composition [La₂₂(SeO₃)₂₄] that are stacked along the a axis and are separated by sublayers of either chloride anions or caesium chloride. All SeO₃ groups show the typical pyramidal shape. The Se-O bond distances vary from 1.672 (6) to 1.747 (6) Å.
