(3S,4S)-4-(Cyclopropylcarbonyl)-3-[(1R)-1-hydroxyethyl]azetidin-2-one

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C₉H₁₃NO₃, is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds, leading to a two-dimensional network extending parallel to the (001) plane. The absolute configuration has been assigned by reference to the chiral hydroxy C atom, which remains unchanged during the synthetic procedure.
