Abstract: The title compound, C₂₂H₂₀O₄, was obtained from methoxymethyl phenyl ether by ortho-lithiation and electrophilic quenching. The molecular packing in the crystal structure is stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond and van der Waals forces.
