Abstract: The monomeric title complex, [Cd(C7H5O2)2(C10H8N2)(H2O)]·H2O, contains a seven-coordinate CdII atom and the CdO5N2 polyhedron is irregular. Hydrogen bonds between water molecules and carboxylate groups give rise to a one-dimensional extended architecture.
