16-Cyano-13-(5-methyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-13,16-seco-17-norandrost-4-en-3-one

Abstract: In the title compound, a seco steroid derivative, C₂₁H₂₇N₃O₂, the cyclohexane rings of the steroid nucleus are in chair conformations, while the cyclohexene ring adopts a 1-sofa conformation. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-HN interactions link the molecules into extended chains, parallel to the c axis, with graph-set motif C(5). The structure is further stabilized by weak intermolecular C-HO interactions which can be described as C(4) chains running parallel to the b axis.
