Bis(thiocyanato-N)bis(2,2'-thiodipyridine-²N,N')nickel(II) monohydrate

Abstract: In the title complex, [Ni(NCS)₂(C₁₀H₈N₂S)₂]·H₂O, the Ni^II ion is coordinated by four pyridine N and two thiocyanate N atoms in a distorted octahedral geometry. The Ni-N(pyridine) bond lengths are significantly longer than the Ni-N(NCS) bond lengths.
