Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₅F₄NO₄, is an intermediate in the synthesis of tetrafluororhodamine. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 73.5 (3)°. There is an intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bond. In addition, the structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
