Abstract: The title compound, (C10H10N)[PbI3], crystallizes as an organic-inorganic hybrid. As such, the structure contains extended chains of [PbI3]- units running along the b axis. Each Pb atom is octahedrally coordinated by six iodides, arranged as chains of face-sharing octahedra. These inorganic chains are separated by the isolated organic cations.
