Aqua{2,2'-[propane-1,3-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolato}zinc(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₁₇H₁₆N₂O₂)(H₂O)], the Zn^II atom has a distorted pentacoordinate square-pyramidal geometry. A mirror plane passes through the Zn^II atom, the central C atom of the propyl group and the O atom of the coordinated water molecule. The two planar Schiff base groups make a dihedral angle of 39.49 (6)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular interactions via the coordinated water molecule.
