A trigonal polymorph of diphenylbis(triphenylsilyl)silane

S. Nordschild, N. Auner and M. Bolte

Abstract: A new polymorph of diphenylbis(triphenylsilyl)silane, C48H40Si3, has been discovered. Until now, only an orthorhombic polymorph of the title compound was known. The newly found trigonal polymorph crystallizes in R\\overline{3} with one molecule in the asymmetric unit.
