A trigonal polymorph of diphenylbis(triphenylsilyl)silane

Abstract: A new polymorph of diphenylbis(triphenylsilyl)silane, C₄₈H₄₀Si₃, has been discovered. Until now, only an orthorhombic polymorph of the title compound was known. The newly found trigonal polymorph crystallizes in R $\\overline{3}$ with one molecule in the asymmetric unit.
