(N,N-Diethyldithiocarbamato-[kappa]2S,S')bis(1,10-phenanthroline)sodium(I)

T. Mirkovic, S. P. Nair, G. D. Scholes and A. J. Lough

Abstract: In the title molecule, [Na(C5H10NS2)(C12H8N2)2], which has crystallographic twofold symmetry, the coordination geometry of the Na atom is intermediate between octahedral and trigonal prismatic, coordinated by two S atoms of an N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate ligand and four chelating N atoms of two 1,10-phenanthroline ligands. In the crystal structure, weak C-H...S and [pi]-[pi] stacking interactions form chains of rings.
