A 1:1 cocrystal of 8-hydroxyquinoline and 5-methyl-1H-imidazole

Abstract: In the title compound, C9H7NO·C4H6N2, the imidazole ring is twisted away from the quinoline ring system with a dihedral angle of 60.8 (1)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H...O, N-H...N, O-H...N hydrogen bonds and C-H...[pi] interactions.
