A 1:1 cocrystal of 8-hydroxyquinoline and 5-methyl-1H-imidazole

Abstract: In the title compound, C₉H₇NO·C₄H₆N₂, the imidazole ring is twisted away from the quinoline ring system with a dihedral angle of 60.8 (1)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-HO, N-HN, O-HN hydrogen bonds and C-H interactions.
