(E,E)-1-(3-Iodophenyl)-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-2,3-diazabuta-1,3-diene

Abstract: Molecules of the title compound, C₁₄H₁₀INO₂, apparently containing a small proportion of the compound with a second nitro group replacing iodo, are disordered across centres of inversion. The molecules are linked into ordered chains by a two-centre iodo-nitro interaction and these chains are linked into sheets by C-HO hydrogen bonds.
