1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-6,7-dimethoxyisochroman

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₇H₁₇ClO₃, is another representative of the rare examples of crystallographically characterized 6,7-dimethoxyisochromans. The packing exhibits intermolecular C(methyl)-HCl hydrogen bonds with an infinite zigzag pattern along [010]. Additional intermolecular bonds occur between methoxy groups and the pyran O atoms.
