Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C16H13ClN3O)(NCS)]·H2O, the CuII atom adopts a distorted square-planar coordination with two N atoms and one O atom of the tridentate phenolate ligand, and one N atom of the thiocyanate anion. N-H
S, O-H
O and C-H
