Bis(2-aminopyridine)dibenzoatocobalt(II)

Abstract: The title compound, [Co(C₇H₅O₂)₂(C₅H₆N₂)₂], contains Co^II cations bonded to two bidentate benzoate ligands and two 2-aminopyridine ligands, resulting in highly distorted cis-CoN₂O₄ octahedra. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-HO hydrogen bonds.
