Abstract: The title compound, C₁₄H₁₁ClN₂O₃, contains an azo group (-N=N-), and the configuration around the -N=N- double bond is trans. There are intramolecular O-HO and intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds, and the crystal packing is stabilized by C-H and - stacking interactions, forming a two-dimensional network.
