3-(4-Hydroxyanilino)isobenzofuran-1(3H)-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₄H₁₁NO₃, is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO, N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds, and by three C-H intermolecular interactions. The N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds generate edge-fused R₄⁴(26) rings. The phthalide ring system of the molecule is almost planar and forms a dihedral angle of 63.02 (7)° with the second benzene ring.
