Abstract: In the title mononuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu(C15H17N2O)N3], the CuII ion is four-coordinate in a square-planar geometry defined by the imine and amine N atoms, the naphthalenolate O atom of the Schiff base and a terminal N atom of the azide anion.
