Abstract: The title compound, C6H10N3O2+·C2Cl3O2-, crystallizes with two histidinium cations and two trichloroacetate anions in the asymmetric unit. The cations and anions are linked through a number of intermolecular N-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
