Abstract: In the title complex, [Cu(C₈H₄O₄)(C₁₀H₉N₃)]_n, the benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate dianions bridge the Cu^II atoms to form polymeric complex chains. The Cu^II atom has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The centroid-to-centroid separation of 3.932 (2) Å indicates - stacking between nearly parallel pyridine rings.
