Abstract: In the title compound, [Ru(C₁₇H₂₀N)I(CO)], the distance between the Ru atom and the centroid of the cyclopentadiene ring is 1.850 (2)Å. The dihedral angle between the planes of the pyridine and cyclopentadiene rings is 53.8 (2)°.
