Abstract: In the title mononuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu(C₁₃H₁₀N₃O₃)(CH₄O)]ClO₄, the Cu^II atom is four-coordinated by one N and two O atoms of the Schiff base ligand and by one O atom of the methanol molecule, forming a slightly distorted square-planar coordination. In the crystal structure, pairs of cations are linked into a centrosymmetric dimer via intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
