Abstract: In the title mononuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu(C13H10N3O3)(CH4O)]ClO4, the CuII atom is four-coordinated by one N and two O atoms of the Schiff base ligand and by one O atom of the methanol molecule, forming a slightly distorted square-planar coordination. In the crystal structure, pairs of cations are linked into a centrosymmetric dimer via intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds.
