(E)-2-Phenyl-3-(2-phenylindolizin-3-yl)acrylonitrile

Abstract: In the title compound, C₂₃H₁₆N₂, the two bulky substituents, phenyl and 2-phenylindolizin-3-yl are situated on the same side of the C=C double bond, resulting in an E configuration. This configuration minimizes the interatomic contacts. There are weak C-H interactions between neighboring molecules related by an inversion center.
