(R)-(-)-8-Hydroxy-3-methyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-2-benzopyran-1-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₀H₁₀O₂, was isolated from Eniconsanthum membranifolium J. Sinclair. There are six independent molecules in the unit cell. Intramolecular hydrogen bonds from the hydroxy H atoms to the carbonyl O atoms are observed in the crystal structure.
