Abstract: In the structure of a mixed crystal, C17H17BrO2S·C17H16OS, containing chalcone and 2-bromo-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-[4-(methylsulfanyl)phenyl]propan-1-one, the two molecules are linked by a strong hydrogen bond between the alcohol H atom of 2-bromo-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-[4-(methylsulfanyl)phenyl]propan-1-one and the ketone group of chalcone.
