Homopiperazinium bis(dihydrogenarsenate)

H. S. Wilkinson and W. T. A. Harrison

Abstract: The crystal packing in the title compound, C5H14N22+·2H2AsO4-, involves anion-to-anion O-H...O hydrogen bonds, resulting in double chains of dihydrogenarsenate tetrahedra. The double chains are crosslinked by further O-H...O bonds to result in a three-dimensional framework that accommodates the organic cations in large cavities. The cations interact with the framework by way of N-H...O bonds.
