Hexakis(-quinolin-8-olato)hexalithium(I)]: a centrosymmetric doubly stacked trimer

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [Li₆(C₉H₆NO)₆], is a centrosymmetric hexamer consisting of two stacked ring trimers. In addition to the O atom of the quinolin-8-olate, the quinoline N atom is also involved in coordination to lithium, resulting in a coordination number of four for each Li atom in the structure.
