Hexakis([mu]-quinolin-8-olato)hexalithium(I)]: a centrosymmetric doubly stacked trimer

W. J. Begley and M. Rajeswaran

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [Li6(C9H6NO)6], is a centrosymmetric hexamer consisting of two stacked ring trimers. In addition to the O atom of the quinolin-8-olate, the quinoline N atom is also involved in coordination to lithium, resulting in a coordination number of four for each Li atom in the structure.
