(E)-4-[4-(4-Chlorobenzyloxy)benzylideneamino]-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₅H₂₂ClN₃O₂, was prepared by the reaction of 4-amino-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenylpyrazol-3-one and 4-(4-chlorobenzyloxy)benzaldehyde. The substituted benzaldehyde group makes dihedral angles of 58.85 (5), 6.87 (9) and 47.36 (7)° with the chlorobenzyl ring, the pyrazolone ring and the terminal phenyl ring, respectively. Intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds help to consolidate the crystal packing.
