Tetrakis(-picoline)disilver(I)(Ag-Ag) bis(2-amino-5-chlorobenzenesulfonate) dihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound [Ag₂(Pic)₄]L₂·2H₂O, where Pic is -picoline (C₆H₇N) and L is the 2-amino-5-chlorobenzenesulfonate anion (C₆H₅ClNO₃S), each Ag^I cation is coordinated by two Pic molecules. Two [Ag(Pic)₂] units are linked by an Ag-Ag interaction to give a centrosymmetric dication.
