Abstract: The enone group and the benzene rings of the title compound, C15H10BrClO, are each planar. The mean plane through the enone group makes dihedral angles of 24.54 (1) and 20.66 (1)° with the chloro- and bromo-substituted benzene rings, respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H..
interactions involving both aromatic rings and the molecules are stacked along the b axis.
