Abstract: The title compound, [Cu(C₁₄H₁₅N₂O)(NCS)], is a mononuclear copper(II) complex, with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The Cu^II ion is coordinated by one O and two N atoms of a Schiff base ligand, and by one N atom of a thiocyanate anion, forming a square-planar geometry.
