Abstract: The structure of the title complex, (CNH6)2[MoS4], consists of tetrahedral tetrathiomolybdate dianions, [MoS4]2-, and two crystallographically independent methylammonium cations, MeNH3+, all of which are located on mirror planes. The tetrathiomolybdate anions are linked to the organic cations via hydrogen bonding.
