Abstract: The title compound, bis[[mu]3-bis(tert-butylamido)bis(tert-butylimido)silyl]di-[mu]3-chloro-tetratetrahydrofuranhexalithium(I), [Li6(C16H38N4Si)2Cl2(C4H8O)4], crystallizes as a dimer of two contact ion pairs linked together by two molecules of lithium chloride. The two halves of the molecule are related by a crystallographic twofold rotation axis.
