A lithium complex of a bis(amido)bis(imido)silicate dianion

Abstract: The title compound, bis[₃-bis(tert-butylamido)bis(tert-butylimido)silyl]di-₃-chloro-tetratetrahydrofuranhexalithium(I), [Li₆(C₁₆H₃₈N₄Si)₂Cl₂(C₄H₈O)₄], crystallizes as a dimer of two contact ion pairs linked together by two molecules of lithium chloride. The two halves of the molecule are related by a crystallographic twofold rotation axis.
