Abstract: The structure of the title compound, {(C₃H₅N₂)[MnCl₃(H₂O)₂]}_n, is composed of discrete imidazolium cations and an [MnCl₃(H₂O)₂]_n infinite-chain anion. The structure is stabilized by N-HCl and O-HCl hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
